Discovering the English Oak with Jo Malone London

To be able to go on a press trip of a lifetime with Jo Malone London was not only a total dream come true, but also a serious pinch me moment. I have loved the brand for as long as I can remember and honestly have been wearing it and loving it since I was a young teenager borrowing my mum’s scents.

More significantly, when I left school and went straight to university in London, I started a part-time job at Jo Malone London on Sloane Street for a few months before Christmas! I worked on the shop floor, learn to ribbon the boxes to perfection, gave hand and arm massages and truly immersed myself in the brand. SO, to go on this press trip really was an ultimate honour and dream with a brand I truly am so fond of.

The adventure began with checking into the Rosewood Hotel in London, where our rooms were full of products of a variety of scents. I jumped straight into the bath using Red Roses bath oil which has always been a favourite of my mother’s but now one of mine too! It’s the ultimate feminine fragrance and perfect before a night out. We had the most stunning and delicious dinner at the Jo Malone London Townhouse where we were serenaded by a live band and had the best evening.

The following morning, we were whisked off in helicopters (if you saw my instagram stories at the time I am ready to laugh about the experience now, after the anxiety has worn off haha) to the English countryside, where an enchanted forest awaited. I was utterly blown away by the creativity and the way in which every one of our senses were drawn into the inspiration behind the new English Oak fragrances.

From a poet in the woods, to the campaign film in a tiny house in the woods, to drinking redcurrant flavoured drinks, everything touched on the essences of the new English Oak & Redcurrant and English Oak & Hazelnut. I can’t quite decide which of the two new fragrances are my favourite, but I definitely love both. The Redcurrant for both day and night and the combination of both with the Hazelnut for the evening is divine.

I couldn’t have had a better couple of days with Jo Malone London. I truly adore the brand and learning and discovering more about each fragrance is such an honour!
